Practice Focus:
Damien practices insurance defense and insurance coverage analysis litigation.  Specifically, he has more than two decades of experience representing insureds and insurers in a wide variety of general insurance litigation, automobile liability, no-fault and uninsured/underinsured motorist matters, insurance coverage issues, premises liability and construction accident claims, municipal claims, liquor liability and products liability claims. He has extensive trial experience, and has represented litigants in appeals in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.  Damien has a particular expertise in litigation related to injuries allegedly suffered under Labor Law Sections 200, 240 and 241(6), and frequently provides advice and opinions to insurance companies, contractors and property owners relating to that topic.

Prior to joining Osborn, Reed & Burke, LLP, Damien had an eclectic history.  He worked as a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer for a large New York Personal Injury Firm for several years, and as an editor for West Group for two years.  He also served as House Counsel and Lead Technical Writer for a secure wireless communications company performing work for the United States Department of Defense.  Damien was also a High School English teacher.
